House fire in Green Bay displaces two people and a dog, causes extensive damage

Heavy smoke and flames were coming from the second floor of a two-family home when firefighters arrived in the afternoon of March 8, 2023. The structure is located on the 700 block of Irvington Street. It took firefighters approximately ten minutes to extinguish the flames, according to a statement issued by the Green Bay Metro Fire Department.

Cause of massive brush fire in Menomonee Falls still under investigation

We are getting a closer look at the aftermath of a fiery blaze that ignited in Menomonee Falls. 15-acres of brush set fire right next to a rail line near Marcy and Mill Roads, causing thousands of customers to lose power, and neighbors to worry the fire might spread to their homes. New UTV For Superior Fire Department

The Superior Fire Department took time Friday morning to show off a new piece of equipment, a UTV that’s better known as the Polaris Ranger. Thanks to a $30,000 grant from Cenovus Superior Refinery and another $20,000 from the city. This new vehicle actually replaces 2 vehicles the department uses now, a snowmobile and a smaller UTV.

Crews battle brush fire near railroad tracks in Menomonee Falls

A brush fire Tuesday night near the railroad tracks in Menomonee Falls lit up the sky around sunset. The fire started near Marcy Road just to the north of Silver Spring Drive. Crews had most of the fire knocked down early this evening. The Menomonee Falls Fire Department told WISN 12 News it's estimated 12 to 15 acres burned.

Man and dog rescued from icy lake by Racine County Deputies, Fire and Rescue

Racine County Sheriff’s Office deputies saved a man and a dog who were stranded in icy water over the weekend. Deputies and members of Raymond Fire and Rescue arrived at a residence on Three Mile Road in the Village of Raymond on Sunday after a report that a 58-year-old man had fallen through the ice on a large pond, according to a news release from the RCSO.

Monroe alders consider future of city's fire department

Monroe is looking to hire a new fire chief. Several alders are also working to learn more about the fire department's operations and structure. They're part of an ad hoc committee. Superior Fire Department unveils new rescue vehicle

Madison Fire Department: Idling vehicle prompts apartment evacuation due to high carbon monoxide levels

The Madison Fire Department evacuated an apartment building after an idling vehicle parked nearby caused a carbon monoxide detector to go off Saturday afternoon. Johnson Creek officials swore in the community’s new fire chief, Bruce Peterson, Monday evening. VIDEO: Rapid Intervention Training for firefighters at Slinger Fire Department

Some rigorous training over the weekend at the Slinger Fire Department as volunteer firefighters from 25 area fire departments participated in an intense series of Rapid Intervention Training (RIT). Firefighters from Slinger, Allenton, and Germantown oversaw much of the training as volunteer firefighters, dressed in full turnout gear with oxygen tanks, were put through mock scenarios involving rescue and possibly trouble.

Neenah apartment fire injures two, displaces about ten people

Neenah-Menasha Fire Rescue were called to an apartment complex called “Neenah Court” at 2112 Marathon Avenue on March 5. One person displaced, substantial damage after structure fire in Appleton

Smoke came from the roof and the vents of a single-family home at 801 W. Hawes Avenue in the City of Appleton when firefighters responded to a call in the early morning hours of March 5, 2023. Janesville kitchen fire causes thousands in damages

An early morning fire at a Janesville home caused an estimated $95,000 in damages. Fort Atkinson Fire Department rescues 2 people who fell into lake while ice fishing

The Fort Atkinson Fire Department rescued two people Thursday night after they fell into a frozen lake and one got trapped under the ice. Crews were dispatched around 8:45 for a report of two people who fell into Lake Koshkonong, one of whom was trapped under water. Crews arrived at the lake several minutes later, and one of the people had already made it out of the water to the shore.

Eau Claire fire chief announces retirement

After decades with the Eau Claire Fire Department, Chief Chris Bell has announced his retirement. According to a press release on Friday, Chief Bell's last day with the battalion will be April 30, 2023. Bell rose through the ranks during his 26 years with the department. He started his career in 1995 as a volunteer with the fire department then in 1997 he joined the department full time.

Burlington chemical spill in Burlington; hazmat team called

A chemical spill involving a 500-gallon tank in Burlington caused the Racine County Hazmat Team to respond to Lavelle Industries on Wednesday, March 1. Authorities responded to a report of a hazmat spill with a chemical reaction involving a dip tank around 12:10 p.m. According to the City of Burlington Fire Department, Lavelle Industries employees were evacuated, and everyone was accounted for.
