Patchy dense fog, with visibilities of less than 1/4 mile, will
create locally hazardous driving conditions across northern and
eastern Wisconsin this morning. The worst conditions are expected
over far northeast Wisconsin and near Lake Michigan. The fog
should mix out in most areas between 8 am and 9 am.
When driving in fog, slow down, use your low beam headlights and
keep a safe distance from other vehicles. Allow extra time to
reach your destination.

Very moist air from recent rainfall and clear skies have allowed
areas of dense fog to form this morning across portions of
central and north-central Wisconsin. The fog is patchy, so watch
out for rapidly changing visibility if you are driving this
morning, especially during the morning commute. The fog should
dissipate by 9 am.

Patchy dense fog has developed across parts of central and north-
central Wisconsin early this morning, especially in low lying
areas and in river valleys. Visibilities under a half mile are
expected in some spots. The dense fog is expected to lift between
6am and 8am. If traveling, expect rapidly changing and poor
visibilities at times. Remember to turn on your low-beam
headlights and allow extra distance between you and the car in
front of you.

Patchy dense fog, reducing visibility to less than one-quarter
mile in some locations, will continue through 6 am this morning.
Thus far the most dense fog is occurring over north-central
Wisconsin and also in portions of the Fox Valley. If traveling
early this morning plan on rapidly changing visibilities across
the area. Be sure to use the low-beam setting on headlights.
Expect the fog to diminish shortly after sunrise.

Several rounds of showers and thunderstorms will bring heavy rain to
the region through Saturday evening. Right now, it appears the
heaviest rainfall will occur across central and east central
Wisconsin, where 2 to 3 inches with locally higher amounts will be
possible.
Urban and small stream flooding is likely during the periods of
heaviest rains. Some river flooding could be possible later in the
weekend or early next week, as water from small streams run into the
larger rivers.
Now would be a good time to check your sump pump, and move property
away from the water if you live near a small stream. Campgrounds
should monitor the weather and ensure the safety of campers near
rivers and streams.
