The fire department says the address on the 700-block was a two-story wood-frame house, but they found the fire was in a detached garage. The garage was already heavily involved when firefighters arrived. A 14-year-old boy is accused of arson after allegedly setting a wall sign on fire Tuesday afternoon at Madison Memorial High School, police report.

La Crosse Fire Chief Ken Gilliam is getting ready for his next assignment–in sunny Arizona.

Two chicks and a cat were rescued after a fire broke out in a Janesville home’s basement Sunday morning.
According to the Janesville Fire Department, first responders were dispatched to Jefferson Avenue at around 9:30 a.m. for report of a possible basement fire.

A fire broke out in a Kohl’s Department Store in Janesville on Friday, causing an evacuation.
