Groceries left on the kitchen stove are being blamed for a fire that damaged a home at 12 S. Chatham St. on Wednesday. A fire in the kitchen of a Sun Prairie apartment was quickly put out Tuesday, but displaced one resident, the Sun Prairie Fire Department said.
