Two people had to be taken to the hospital after a man reported an explosion and subsequent fire at a home in West Bend Monday morning, September 26th. Three fire departments were called to fight a fire at a catering business in Bellevue on Monday. A mom was able to get her child unbuckled from the back seat of their car Sunday morning before it went up in flames on Northport Drive, according to a release. One dog perished in an apartment fire in Juneau on Sunday afternoon.
Firefighters were dispatched at 4:30 p.m. to 214 N. Main Street for a fire in the upper apartment of a duplex. Two females were pulled from the Chippewa River by Eau Claire fire department personnel Saturday. Former Green Bay Metro Fire Department Lt. Michael Miller will be honored during the annual National Fallen Firefighters Memorial Service on Oct. 9. Miller, 45, was on duty at Station 3 on Shawano Avenue on June 20, 2015, when his fellow firefighters found him unresponsive.
