Firefighters believe a fire that destroyed a large tree near the University of Wisconsin-Parkside Monday afternoon was intentionally set. The Manitowoc Noon Rotary Club has named its 2016 Firefighter and Citizen of the Year winners. Firefighter and paramedic Tyler Kiel and Kassondra Woolford won the titles at the club’s celebration banquet earlier this month at Manitowoc’s Holiday Inn. A Milwaukee County judge sentenced Michael Morgan to 71 years in prison on Thursday, October 27th. Morgan was convicted of setting a fire that killed two children at a Milwaukee home in October 2015.
