Beaver Dam Police and Fire Commission made some changes to the departments' general outlay requests that include cutting fitness equipment, IT infrastructure and a water rescue dummy. Rescuers pulled two boaters and a dog to safety Sunday evening from the French Island spillway, according to the Campbell Fire Department. A machine shop in the town of Lafayette was declared a total loss by a fire official after a Saturday morning fire. Firefighters from three counties were reported to be battling a pole barn fire late Thursday night in far northwest Racine County.
