A family of five safely escaped a house fire in Hobart. It started around midnight on the 3100 block of Jonas Circle. When crews arrived on scene flames were shooting up the side of the home. Firefighters believe the fire started in the garbage bins. "There was a dog inside. Deputy Chief Jason Russ says not being able to provide the service in the past was difficult for him. Columbus Fire Department put one of its newest devices to action recently, snuffing out a fire that could have threatened a home in Columbus. Fire Chief Randy Koehn used the X-Tinguish FST, a fire suppression tool produced by Flame Guard USA, during a basement fire in mid-December.
