One person is in the hospital after a house fire in Buffalo County on Tuesday.
According to the Buffalo County Sheriff's Office, the fire was called in around 10:50 p.m. Tuesday at a home on Highway 25 in the town of Nelson.

An 11-year-old boy was rescued Tuesday afternoon being disappearing in a flooded drainage ditch in Calumet County's Village of Harrison.

Lightning striking a nearby tree early Monday is believed to be the cause of a fire that severely damaged a rural Marshfield home, authorities said.

A 61-year-old man admitted to starting three fires at a home in the 2500 block of Simonis Street on Friday morning, including in a bed where two people were sleeping, according to police.
