Two adults and seven children were displaced after a fire on the city’s west side Wednesday evening.
At about 7:45 p.m., Green Bay Metro Firefighters were called to 132 Oak St for a report of a building on fire. Smoke and flames were visible.

Two people from Madison have officially been indicted for allegedly setting fire to a pair of commercial buildings in Madison during the civil unrest that erupted in August.

Two vehicles sustained fire damage after heavy winds blew burning leaves into the street Saturday.
Officials were sent to the area of Traceway Drive and Post Road at about 12:45 p.m. regarding thick smoke that filled the street.

The City of Beloit and Town of Beloit have reached an agreement for Beloit Fire Department Chief Daniel Pease to also serve as chief for the Town of Beloit Fire Department, marking a historic move of shared services between the two municipalities.

Emergency crews responded Monday to a fire at a metal recycling facility on Madison’s east side after a flammable liquid was ignited by a spark inside an automobile shredder.

Woodland Fire Department will cease serving the area after 150 years due in part to a lack of volunteers.
“It is the membership,” Woodland Fire Department Chief Tony Roethle said. “People are busy these days and with young married couples both work and they share child care duties as they should.”

A family was able to safely escape a home fire in Germantown Monday morning, Oct. 12.
Authorities were called to Revere Lane just after 5:30 a.m. Firefighters rescued two cats from the home.
