Authorities in Green County are identifying the man killed in a farming accident this week.
Green County Sheriff Jeff Skatrud says 62-year-old John P. Marty of rural Monticello died after being pinned under a combine on Little Sugar Lane Wednesday.

Four people have been displaced after a duplex fire in Janesville on Tuesday afternoon.
A news release said firefighters were sent to 828 Benton Ave. at 3:35 p.m. in response to a residential fire. Dispatchers had reported flames and smoke that were visible from the back of the building. Village leaders have walked back a decision they made in early summer to leave their current fire district.
Back in June the Village of Weston Board of Trustees voted to leave the SAFER fire district. Trustees voted to leave the district due to concerns about management and personnel. Multiple fire crews responded to a large fire at an egg farm near Palmyra early Saturday morning, Oct. 3.
