An Appleton resident is okay after being rescued from a house fire. Appleton firefighters were called to the home on W. Reeve Street just after 6:30 p.m. Tuesday. Upon arrival, crews saw smoke inside the home. Once inside, emergency crews found the resident lying on the floor by the door. Members of the Sun Prairie Fire Department said goodbye to a four-legged friend this week. In a Facebook post, the fire department commemorated their "unofficial mascot," Hydro, who had to be put down Sunday morning after being hit by a truck on Saturday.
