Hoan Bridge investigation: Milwaukee Fire Department's Dive Rescue Team responds

VIDEO: A dive team searched under Milwaukee's Hoan Bridge – but nothing was found – after officials say someone reported a potentially endangered child Saturday, Oct. 7. According to the Milwaukee County Sheriff's Office, deputies were first dispatched to the area around 4:15 p.m. Authorities said it was reported that a child "in the company of an adult, may have been endangered by the adult.

Columbus firefighters rescue dog that fell deep into a septic tank

Wisconsin to fly flags at half-staff in honor of fallen firefighters and Fire Prevention Week

5 Wisconsin firefighters who died in the line of duty will be honored during ceremony in Wisconsin Rapids

Firefighters from across the state will come to the Wisconsin State Firefighters and EMS Memorial Saturday to pay tribute to five firefighters who died in the line of duty last year. Cottage Grove Fire Department to host open house

National Fire Prevention Week is observed in the United States and Canada during the week (from Sunday to Saturday) in which Oct. 9 falls. Reedsburg home catches on fire

VIDEO: Everyone inside a Reedsburg home, along with their ‘numerous pets’, escaped as a fire burned through the multi-story structure late Tuesday night, the city’s fire department reported. In video captured from the scene, firefighters could be seen attacking the fire from above and below. As crews on the ground aimed upwards toward the second and third floors of the home, another firefighter, who was in a cherry picker, rained down water on the burning roof.

Flames consume barn near Ixonia, dramatic video shows

Madison Fire Department firefighters clean up fuel spill at northside gas station

VIDEO: Firefighters had to clean up a fuel spill on Madison's north side Monday after a driver backed their car into a fuel pump and drove off. Another customer went to use the fuel pump after the first driver left and reportedly found a leak coming from the base of the pump; a delivery driver used the emergency stop and was able to cut off the leak before firefighters arrived at the Kwik Trip on Northport Drive.

Fire does six-digit damage to business, Watertown Fire Department says

VIDEO: The Watertown Fire Department is crediting an employee of a business in the city with helping prevent a fire that caused more than $100,000 worth of damage on Friday afternoon from spreading even further. One person taken to hospital in Verona duplex fire

Update: Victim in fatal Tomah fire identified

A 61-year-old man is identified as the person killed in a fire at a Tomah motel earlier this month. On Friday morning, Fire Chief Tim Adler released the identity of the person who died in the September 19 fire at the Daybreak Motel at 215 E. Clifton Street. Brian Mark Mallory was pronounced dead at the scene.

Northeast Wisconsin veterans face historic flooding to visit 9/11 memorial in New York

VIDEO: 59 Northeast Wisconsin veterans braved torrential rain Friday to visit the 9/11 Memorial and Museum In New York City. Meteorologists there say about a month’s worth of rain fell in just over three hours. Fundraiser being held to support Brookfield firefighter seriously injured in crash

VIDEO: Flashing lights and sirens are constant in Adam Yaresh’s life. However, Saturday night, the lights and sounds he experienced were there to save him, though he’s used to it being the other way around. Yaresh has been with the Brookfield Fire Department for the last six years. Before that, he worked on a volunteer basis with the Ixonia Fire Department and then in a full-time capacity with the Watertown Fire Department.

The history of the 'Great Fire of 1871' to be commemorated at the Belgian Heritage Center in Brussels

The history of the "Great Fire of 1871", known locally as the Peshtigo Fire, will be revisited on its 152nd anniversary next month. Driver hauling CO2 squelches fire right behind his truck, Madison Fire Department reports
