An Adams County man is facing arson charges after police say he lit a vehicle on fire. Police said officials responded to the vehicle fire around 8 p.m. Monday. When they arrived, the vehicle was fully engulfed flames. Once the fire was out, officials determined the vehicle was a total loss. A 61-year-old Stevens Point man pleaded not guilty Monday to trying to kill his former girlfriend and a man he found her with in bed by pouring gasoline on the bed and lighting it. Gary L. McDonald is charged with two counts of attempted first-degree intentional homicide. Four people have been displaced after a house fire in Green Bay. It broke out around 10:30 p.m. Sunday on Velp Avenue. One firefighter was taken to the hospital for evaluation, but has been released. A Sunday crash in Portage County killed one person and injured another. A vehicle driven by an 82-year-old woman, with an 81-year-old man in the passenger's seat, crashed at about 12:15 p.m. near Amherst Junction, according to a news release from the Wisconsin State Patrol. A Saturday afternoon house fire in West Racine caused an estimated $40,000 in damage but no injuries, the Racine Fire Department reported.
