The Appleton International Airport has been awarded $10.4 million by the U.S. Department of Transportation to build a regional aircraft fire and rescue training facility, U.S. Sen. Tammy Baldwin announced Thursday.

A natural gas leak in a townhome Tuesday afternoon caused the evacuation of adjoining units, according to the fire department.
