Firefighters on Wednesday morning, Nov. 6 responded to the scene of an apartment fire in South Milwaukee. It happened near Drexel Boulevard and Pennsylvania Avenue around 5:11 a.m.
Officials say the fire started inside an exterior wall — and moved up inside the rear wall space into the attic.

Brian Serdynski leaves behind a wife and three kids.

The Union Grove-Yorkville Fire Department is mourning the loss of one of their firefighters.
The department sharing on Facebook that Brian Serdynski passed away Saturday morning. He had been a member of the department for five years and participated in various local events. A structure fire in Mauston on Saturday morning killed one person, according to a news release.

Three people are without a home in Rock County after a massive fire Tuesday afternoon.
