Monona firefighters and law enforcement rescued a hiker from Yahara River marshes Saturday afternoon.
The Monona Fire Department assistant fire chief told 27 News, a hiker got stuck in the mud. MFD crews shut down two lanes of the Beltline to station a firetruck on the bridge. According to the Green Bay Metro Fire Department, at approximately 12:25 a.m. on Saturday they were called to a report of a structure fire on 920 S. Oneida Street.
When fire crews arrived, they found a single family residence with smoke showing from the attic area.
