One person died and a house was destroyed in an explosion and fire Sunday morning in Superior, Wisconsin.

A town of Merton home's garage was a total loss after a May 12 structure fire, according to Merton Community Fire Chief Josh Paral.
Paral said the call came in at 1:22 p.m. and it took crews 15 to 20 minutes to get the fire under control. Crews were on scene for over two hours.

Fire crews rescued three children from amusement ride at the West Towne Mall Carnival on Friday.
