The Federal Emergency Management Agency is releasing the largest update to its mobile application in a decade, the agency announced today. FEMA is releasing the app at the beginning of a hurricane season that experts predict will be above average and a wildfire season that's already devastating, for example, In New Mexico.

Texas fire department preparing for potential rise in newborn drop-offs following Roe v. Wade ruling

Last Missing Portrait of 9/11 Victim Placed in Memorial Photo Wall in New York

A portrait filled the last vacancy on the photo wall at the National September 11 Memorial & Museum on Wednesday, concluding the almost 16-year-long project to memorialize the hundreds killed as a result of the terrorist attacks of 2001. Antonio Dorsey Pratt's portrait, provided through Voices Center for Resilience, an organization started after 9/11 that is dedicated to remembering the victims, was hung on the wall.

According to a report, nearly half of all firefighter duty-related deaths across the country are caused by sudden cardiac deaths. The Springfield Fire Department says education is crucial in prevention. Each year, the Austin, Texas, Police Department (APD) call center diverts more than 80% of its calls to mental health clinicians, freeing police officers to focus on “hot calls,” such as life-threatening situations and robberies in progress. NTSB is sending an investigative team to an Amtrak derailment in Missouri that killed 3 people and injured at least 50

Boston graduates its largest class ever of firefighter recruits

Florida college paramedic instructor celebrates milestone anniversary of exclusive program
