Rice Lake Fire Department pursuing purchase of second ambulance

The Rice Lake Fire Department is hoping to acquire a second ambulance at a cost of $280,000 to keep EMS transport service available 24/7, and expand and enhance services. Pine Lake Fire Department receives new AED

The Pine Lake Fire Department received some new equipment earlier this week. Thanks to two grants worth up to $3,000 they were able to receive a new AED. The grants were from the Wisconsin Public Service and Mutual of Wausau Insurance Corporation. Fire Chief Brian Gehrig says it's crucial for their department to have up-to date equipment.

Milkwaukee Fire Department Reopening Station At 13th and Layton

Milwaukee will have a new fire station in 2024. Fire Chief Aaron Lipski announced late Friday afternoon that he intends to reopen Engine 17 at 4653 S. 13th St. The announcement comes as the city debates its 2024 budget. Howard Fire Department receives $1.2M federal grant

The Howard Fire Department received a federal grant for more than $1,000,000. Chief Dennis Staeven says the grant will allow the department to hire more first responders. “It’s for a little over $1.2 million,” said Staeven. “That grant is going to be used to fund four firefighter positions for a period of the next three years starting in November of this year.

Wisconsin K-9 medic class, first responders trained to help partners

Fire Destroys Town of Union Storage Barn

A fire on Sandhill Road on Tuesday night destroyed a storage building in the town of Union. Brussels-Union-Gardner (BUG) Fire Chief Curt Vandertie says his department was dispatched to a fully engulfed barn on 778 Sandhill Road around 7:15 p.m. The blaze was several hundred feet behind a house well off the roadway with a 30-foot-by 40-foot building in flames.

Live-Fire Training In Weyauwega

PHOTOS: The Weyauwega Fire Department ignited small fires inside of a derelict farmhouse Saturday, Oct. 7, at the crossroads of Kriese and Haffner Roads. Wausau Fire Department making community and kids aware of fire prevention

Columbus firefighters rescue dog that fell deep into a septic tank
