Lake Ozark Fire Protection District is working to equip cyanokits on their ambulance and trucks. The district has one. Ohio fire department closes baby box due to 'outdated' department of health regulations

VIDEO: The Union Township Fire Department is closing its Safe Haven Baby Box due to "burdensome" and "outdated red tape" from the Ohio Department of Health, Union Township officials said in a press release. Tractor-Trailer Fire Blocks Lanes on Interstate in Virginia

VIDEO: A tractor-trailer fire caused delays on Interstate 495 in McLean, Virginia, on Sunday, authorities said. The truck was at mile marker 43.5 on I-495. Jane Clockadile is the daughter of an Abington firefighter and granddaughter of a fire chief. She can trace a long line of firefighters back to her forefathers in the late 19th century, such that her family history and the history of the Abington Fire Department are virtually indistinguishable. Today, Clockadile is leading an initiative to restore a fire truck purchased new by the town in 1948 for $12,500.

'It's a huge honor': Kentucky firefighter donates kidney to fellow firefighter's son

In 2021, Lexington Fire Department Lieutenant Joseph Sexton's son, John, got very sick. What Sexton and his wife, Katie, thought was a stomach bug turned out to be much worse. John, who was 5 years old at the time, had contracted E-Coli 0157. The E-Coli then developed into a rare disease called Hemolytic Uremic Syndrome.
