VIDEO: Firefighter collapses while battling fire at New Hampshire farmhouse

A firefighter was taken to the hospital after suffering a medical issue while fighting a house fire Wednesday. First responders performed CPR on him before he was rushed to the hospital. Neighbors say they saw flames coming from the second floor of an old farmhouse on Scotland Road in Kingston, but the entire home turned into a fireball within minutes.

AT&T customers report a massive outage, disrupting phone service across America

AT&T’s network went down for many of its customers across the United States Thursday morning, leaving customers unable to place calls, text or access the internet. By late morning, the company said most of its network had been restored. Although Verizon and T-Mobile customers reported some network outages, too, they appeared far less widespread.

Fire Museum in Central Ohio Showcases History of Local Firefighters

PHOTOS: Located in the former Columbus Engine House No.16, the building was completed in 1908 and was built as the last engine house in the city to accommodate horse-drawn steam engines. The station closed in 1982 and after twenty years of fundraising and a $900,000 renovation, the museum moved into the building and opened to the public in 2002.

Alabama firefighters: New schedule change improving fire operation

VIDEO: Firefighters who work for Decatur Fire and Rescue have operated on different schedule since early 2024. The previous schedule had firefighters working 24 hour shifts, before having 48 hours off. The new schedule has firefighters work 48 hours straight, before having 96 hours off. Decatur Fire Deputy Chief Nathan Springer said the move was requested by firefighters in 2023, and has already improved fire operation since.

Texas brewery releases 'Great Fire' beer to commemorate 1911 fire

Millions of Toshiba laptop adapters recalled for fire and burn hazards

Approximately 15.5 million Toshiba laptop AC adapters have been recalled by Dynabook Americas due to fire and burn hazards, according to the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission. According to the commission, the recalled adapters can overheat and spark, posing burn and fire hazards to consumers. The recalled AC adapters were sold both on their own and with Toshiba brand personal laptop computers.

Florida city shows off eight new fire vehicles to address issues of growing population

Follow in one Texas fire station's footsteps

PHOTOS: When a man went into cardiac arrest while working at his family’s restaurant a few years ago, Fire Station No. 1 responded, resuscitating him on scene. The next day he walked out of the hospital, an uncommon sight for these patients. Soon after, he was back working at his restaurant, said apparatus operator Caleb Hodges.
